The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Urgent Care

If you’re unsure about whether you need urgent care, contact the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line to speak to a registered nurse. Visit MHSNurseAdviceLine.com for web chat and video chat, or dial 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273).

For after-hours care, a registered nurse will be available daily for on-site evaluation for those beneficiaries who present to the Ambulance Services Department between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Emergency Care

If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical situation (threat to life, limb or eyesight, and to include mental health emergencies), call 112 immediately.
